Nelson Vergel is a 36-year HIV survivor, health author, speaker and leading advocate for improved access to life-saving options for HIV+ people with limited treatment options and those with metabolic disorders. He holds a chemical engineering degree from McGill University and an MBA from the University of Houston.  He is the founder of the non-profits Program for Wellness Restoration and The Body Positive Wellness Center. He is interested in engaging the HIV community in cure-related education and research.
